Fish boil in Genoa City is better than ones in Door County

A restaurant that my wife and I enjoy is Fitzgerald’s in Genoa City. This all-you-can-eat casual dining restaurant features a delicious codfish boil that has a slight palate taste of lobster — no bones.
The companion dishes include boiled potatoes, boiled whole onions and cole slaw with a dessert. Add melted butter to the potatoes and fish and you have an exquisite meal, even better than the fish boils in Door County, which serves whitefish.
You pay as you enter for the fish boil, or you can add barbeque chicken and/or barbecue ribs to your meal for a slightly higher price. You pay separately for your drinks — liquor, beer, soda or iced tea. Water is always available and free.
You can eat upstairs, downstairs or outside. Serving tables are situated on both floors of the house. Outside you can watch the boiling process in the huge cauldrons nearby. The old house has its own atmosphere and a gift shop for browsing.
For those of us in southeastern Wisconsin, this fish boil is not only close by, but a memorable experience.
Once you’ve tried this restaurant, you’ll go back again and again. The house is beautifully decorated with lights at the Christmas season. See you there!
