Our favorite restaurant is Yuni’s Avenue Cafe at 5104 Washington Ave. in Racine. This place recently won Best Breakfast and Best Server awards, sponsored by The Racine Journal Times. They have won these awards for the last several years. My parents, Jackie and Tony Schlaffer, and I frequent this restaurant two or three or more times a week, and we are not the only ones.

In fact, we have accidentally set two records: We’ve eaten there five days in a row and eaten there twice in one day!

The food and service are always excellent and consistent; we have never been disappointed. All in all, the success of Yuni’s is due to: the food, the menu, the location; the best breakfast, the best server (Kelly Craig) and the best customer base.

Walking into Yuni’s will start your day off better and you will experience the pleasant atmosphere while you are enjoying a superb breakfast or lunch. You’ll love the sensational skillets, oversized omelets and savory soups.
